Repair work for the parts that actually fail.

Most air conditioning calls start with a refrigerant charge issue, a dirty coil, a failing capacitor, or a blower motor that has drawn down. Heating problems usually trace back to a limit switch, an igniter, a heat exchanger, or airflow. We check the whole system before recommending a part so you are not paying for the wrong repair twice.

Straight answers on equipment condition

Clear Path started as a two-truck repair outfit working mostly on split systems installed in the 90s and early 2000s. A lot of that equipment is still on roofs and in basements today, and it needs a technician who has seen the failure before.

We handle refrigerant recovery properly, keep the electrical work clean, and tell you when a component is near the end of its service life rather than selling a replacement unit by default.

What makes up the system

Thermostat

Sets the call for cooling or heating and sends the signal to the indoor equipment.

Condenser

Outdoor unit that rejects heat and circulates refrigerant through the loop.

Indoor unit

Air handler or furnace that moves conditioned air into the building supply ducts.

Ductwork

Supply and return paths. Leaks and blocked runs cut airflow and raise energy use.

Coils

Evaporator and condenser coils. Restricted airflow across them causes icing and burnout.

Controls

Capacitors, relays, contactors, and boards that switch and protect the system.

Annual maintenance checklist

  • Condenser coil cleaned and fins straightened
  • Evaporator coil inspected for frost and dirt buildup
  • Filter replaced and filter rack cleared
  • Blower motor and capacitor tested under load
  • Refrigerant charge verified with proper gauges
  • Condensate drain line flushed and checked
  • Electrical connections tightened and amp draw measured
  • Thermostat schedule and mode operation verified

Describe the problem and we will schedule service.

Tell us the system type, what the equipment is doing, and where the outdoor unit sits. That shortens the diagnosis and often means a single visit is enough.
